Taking their name from an old Funkadelic track, Chicago's Urge Overkill began in 1985 and played to a mostly underground fanbase, with a brief breakout into the mainstream through their cover of Neil Diamond's 'Girl, You'll Be A Woman Soon' on the soundtrack to 'Pulp Fiction.' Originally disbanding in 2000, Nash Kato, Blackie Onassis and Eddie "King" Roesser reunited for shows in late 2003 On its new self-titled EP, Suffrajett incorporates rock jams, heavy funk basslines and aggressive rhythms with leadsinger/power girl Simi providing searing vocals. Kate Starr was chosen from over 2,000 bands to be in the top four as a finalist in Lollapalooza's Last Band Standing Competition.
